Teaching Responsibilities:
Currently teaching courses in Criminal Justice, Political Science, and Public Administration.

Research Interests:
Dr. Carlson's professional research focus is in the criminal justice area. He serves as a consultant to state and federal correctional agencies, and as an expert witness in capital prosecutions in federal courts throughout the country. His research and evaluation projects are designed to merge the practical and theoretical aspects of criminal justice and to serve the needs of practitioners in public service.
